trunk - export excel - must export numbers as numbers and date fields as date

Hello
it is a long and outstanding bug - frequently marked as invalid

all fields (numbers, date) in "Export to Excel" are characters and do not allow any further processing without cumbersome conversion.

this really needs a final fix for v8

Thank you for looking into this problem

The patch works fine - IMO if all cells contain values

if empty cells exist I get
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected end of input

please try the export with selection as shown in attached image

Thanks for the review, I have corrected my patch to handle the case with empty cells.
It was merged in web trunk.
