Bug Description

There are a bunch of clipart that are linked, but don't seem to have any relation to each other. Database mix up?

There are a few around the place. This is also related to bug #555354, and another one that I can't find.

There is definitly a pattern here. I wonder if there is some way we can see what is where, and how to fix them?
For that matter, how DO we unlink a remixe, and how do we link certain ones up? Might be time for a blueprint.

summary: - mixed up linking
+ mixed up Remixes

I've noticed that someone started to tag these cliparts with "remix_problem".
I think it's a good idea.

To view them all, visit
http://www.openclipart.org/tags/remix_problem
or
http://www.openclipart.org/search/?query=remix_problem

(There are different numbers of pages there, I don't know why).

great idea

I have an Idea - add button "remix of" next to add collection (with the same look and fill) which will point to the page which be almost exact as browsing site but link on clipart will change this clipart to original.

This could be implement by change all links on the main page to action=remix, if there is query string variable action=remix and the link should have id for the clipart so the link will look <a href="/browse?action=remix&clipart=(!(1)!)">remix of</a>

detail page for every clipart can have link /detail/filenam_of_the_clipart?action=remix&orginal=Get['clipart'] and this page change remix clipart but all links on this page will have urls with query string.

And for librarians can be separated tool for fixing remixes. But I don't think that they are needed because if someone have clipart that is remix of someone else's one he will know about it.

Of course it can be implemented as alternative pages using clean urls.

Typo :

all links on this page will have urls with query string./with/without/

Rather than list them all here, I'm adding remix_problem to all those that I find, as papapishu suggested.
http://www.openclipart.org/tags/remix_problem
or
http://www.openclipart.org/search/?query=remix_problem

(the different pages is what happens when there is no comma ending the taglists. The tag page will not display any clipart that is searched for, if that tag is the last on a list and does not end in a comma. The search will display the clipart.)

Any chance this is related to the Bug 719675?

...if the remix code is making the same check that the comment code did for the 'file_upload' field?
