Bug Description

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-openchrome

Hi,
I have ubuntu10.10 installed with all latest updates. I had upgraded from 10.04 to 10.10. I have openchrome installed and my chipsets are via chipsets [K8M800-CE] via VT8237R. I have played a lot with the xorg file and finally atleast made the display work. But m still not able to enable desktop-effects or use compiz and enjoy the full capabilities of ubuntu. I have heard and read a lot that via company as not released proper drivers for linux for K8M800, but openchrome works instead of it. I have the latest version of Openchrome.
The fonts on my display are too small when browsing through mozilla firefox. I have a 17'' LCD screen whose resolution I have set to 1440x900. Still the display settings in ubuntu show Monitor: Unknown and rotations not supported. Here is my xorg file contents:

All the options that I have set in the xorg file are all my workarounds to get best of from the xorg ... and this is all I think I can think of fixing this. Thats why I created this bug report if anyone else has any better solution or if its a bug ..

Unfortunately on K8M890 chipset you cannot enable compiz effects. In Openchrome the DRI is not implemented yet for all chrome9 chipsets family.
