Hi Tony there are these lines 34/35

sys.path.append("/usr/lib/python3.5/dist-packages") #trying to 'fix' some problems importing openastromod on some distros

Your python version is probably newer so just change it to python3.9 or whatever. That is just the quickest fix. Or set PYTHONPATH correctly and get rid of them. Or change it to a relative import, as well...
