Hi Prakashita, thansk for your bug report. I need to ask you a couple of questions in order to help you:
How did you install Online Accounts?
Do you have the "gnome-control-center-signon" package installed?

I used - Download links for Ubuntu Online Accounts from Link to the installation instructions in Testcases for Ubuntu Online Accounts in Webapps Precise Testing.
I am not sure about the "gnome-control-center-signon".

Thanks. You can check whether you have the "gnome-control-center-signon" package installed by running this command on a terminal:

dpkg -l gnome-control-center-signon

I tried the Command it says -- No packages found matching gnome-control-center-signon.
I think I need some help in this. I thought Download links for Ubuntu Online Accounts would be enough.;-(

(Adding Ken as assignee, as I belive that this bug is in the unity-webapps-preview meta package)

Ken, shouldn't the webapps preview meta package also install UOA?

Changed in online-accounts-documentation:
assignee: nobody → Ken VanDine (ken-vandine)

It does, most of what the meta package includes are Recommends. If someone has set apt to not install recommends they wouldn't get it.

Hi Prakashita, it looks the Ubuntu Online Accounts packages are not installed in your system.
Please try to install the "unity-scope-gdocs" package -- this should also install all the other needed packages.

Hi Alberto,

I tried to install "unity-scope-gdocs" package
But the update manager is not working : It gets stuck and not able to proceed further :
Nothing shows up in the Ubuntu software center.
I also get this error while launching the update manager :

Could not initialize the package information

An unresolvable problem occurred while initializing the package information.

Please report this bug against the 'update-manager' package and include the following error message:

'E:Type 'ain' is not known on line 3 in source list /etc/apt/sources.list.d/ubuntu-x-swat-q-lts-backport-precise.list'

Can I know what it should be done? to solve this problem...

Hi Prakashita! As the error message told you, this seems to be a bug in the "update-manager" program. Please file a bug on that package (you can do that here in launchpad or from a terminal by typing "reportbug update-manager"), and include the error message which you pasted here.

Hi Alberto, I would like to ask you couple of questions, the bug should be submitted as a new bug report right?
but I don't understand that under which package ?
and i am not able to submit through terminal as i am not able to install the reportbug in my terminal.
And while submitting a new bug, there is a pot up saying the 'The report can be private. You can disclose it later '
I don't want to make mistake in submitting bugs. That is why I wanted to clear this

Hi Prakashita! Yes, it should be submitted as a new bug, the package to choose is "update-manager".
Since you won't be submitting any private and personal information, the bug report can be public -- so that more people can see it and hopefully help you.
