Bug Description

Hello!

Following use-case take only Small and Compact keyboard layout into account.

Obviously, for tablets with ~7-8 inch screen Small keyboard layout need to be used for both of portrait and landscape modes. On ~10-11 inch tablets screen size allow to use Compact keyboard layout at least in landscape mode. However, in portrait mode Compact keyboard layout unusable because buttons became too small (at least on Thinkpad Helix 1gen and Dell Venue 11 Pro 7140). I doesn't have data about ~12-12.5 inch tablets.

As I see right now Onboard remember position and size for portrait and landscape modes separately. I wonder if it's possible to make Onboard remember which keyboard layout was chosen for portrait mode, and which one for landscape mode? Or, for the sake of more logical settings interface, add option to choice keyboard layouts for portrait and for landscape modes separately (for example Small for portrait mode and Compact for landscape mode) based on screen resolution or iio-sensor-proxy data.

I have the same problem. As far as i can see there's no solution. Its a bit sad, because it's a main problem when changing the operating system from windows to linux of a convertible.
