Hi, thanks your bug report. Could you describe some more what you're asking for? The plain workman layout seems to work with Onboard. I've just installed the xorg layout from the tarball here

sudo cp xorg/workman /usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols/workman
setxkbmap -v workman

Are you asking for the specialized grid layout for workman?

Yes indeed it is the matrix style (grid style) layout I would like to request. An example is here:

Another version is the one provided by TypeMatrix:

When possible, please provide all three, that is the non-matrix Workman, the matrix Workman and the TypeMatrix Workman. You can contact me for testing if you like.
