This request is coming from big OEMS, and as talking with others in Canonical (Pete Goodall) was supposed to be fixed in 10.04.
Today in sessions dialogue we have the Ubuntu Netbook Edition labeled properly, but OEMs have express that the words "GNOME" & especially "GNOME Failsafe" make no since to newer users. They would like to see this changed along the lines of:
Gnome -> "Ubuntu Desktop Edition"
They wouldn't mind "GNOME Failsafe" being removed as they say "The user has no idea what this is for". |
