This is a pilot running meta package for https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MIRTeam/Exceptions/OEM that means the package doesn't exist in Debian or Ubuntu archive yet.

We want to improve the hardware support for HP 285 G3 Microtower PC on focal.

I have used hugh712/+archive/ubuntu/staging-ubuntu-metapkg-ppa to check this package on HP 285 G3 Microtower PC and it works as expected.
oem-stella.cmit-abra-meta will be upgraded to 20.04ubuntu1 from OEM archive.

[Dependencies]
It only depends on ubuntu-oem-keyring.

[Standards compliance]
This package should have met all requirements of https://wiki.ubuntu.com/MIRTeam/Exceptions/OEM.

[Maintenance]
Canonical OEM Enablement Team will take care of the maintenance.

Please use "oem-metapackage-mir-check" in lp:ubuntu-archive-tools to verify this MIR against the reference package in the archive.

oem-stella.cmit-abra-meta_20.04ubuntu1.dsc in the referred PPA is prepared as if for the OEM archive.
For Ubuntu Archive the packaging should point at the -ubuntu branch, not the -oem branch.
And version number should be 20.04~ubuntuX, not 20.04ubuntuX.

I think you are asking for somebody from the OEM team to sponsor oem-stella.cmit-abra-meta_20.04ubuntu1.dsc into the focal stella.cmit suite.

However note, it seems like cmit.abra-focal-oem branch is missing from the git repository, please push it.

Looking at the git repository cmit.abra-focal-ubuntu branch, it looks correctly prepared for the Ubuntu Archive upload.

However, http://hp.archive.canonical.com/dists/focal/stella is referenced in the apt source list, but is not available.

Setting bug report to incomplete:

1) please ensure the referenced suites the sources.list snippet match reality and are published. (i.e. either create focal/stella, or drop it from the sources snippet, as needed)

2) please push the -oem packaging branch to the repo

3) please upload/publish the oem version of the metapackage (20.04ubuntu1) in the oem archive

The package that has been uploaded to the focal NEW queue had a leftover .patch file in the source tree. I have removed it, rebuilt the source package and re-upload. Otherwise it looked good so I'll accept it.

Accepted oem-stella.cmit-abra-meta into focal-proposed. The package will build now and be available at https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/oem-stella.cmit-abra-meta/20.04~ubuntu2 in a few hours, and then in the -proposed repository.

Please help us by testing this new package. See https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Testing/EnableProposed for documentation on how to enable and use -proposed. Your feedback will aid us getting this update out to other Ubuntu users.

If this package fixes the bug for you, please add a comment to this bug, mentioning the version of the package you tested, what testing has been performed on the package and change the tag from verification-needed-focal to verification-done-focal. If it does not fix the bug for you, please add a comment stating that, and change the tag to verification-failed-focal. In either case, without details of your testing we will not be able to proceed.
