Bug Description
Amphora load balancers currently don't answer to ICMP echo requests on the VIP address. This is blocked by the VIP security group which is managed by Octavia. This security group can not be edited by an admin or user as it's overwritten every time changes to a listener are made. To make network debugging easier we would like to have a global configuration option to allow ICMP echo requests on loadbalancer VIPs.
Alternatively this could also be a API option to allow this on a per loadbalancer basis.
