export - exports all data even only a few are marked

IMHO the export functionality should check if resources are marked (left checkbox in the list) and only export these, otherwise all, not only the ones on the page

Note: the export, at least in the web client, currently exports everything selected (it should use the current search filters), it is not limited by pagination. You can easily see that by exporting e.g. modules (with a standard openerp installation you will get almost 200 rows, even though the default pagination is 80 records per page)

I feel this issue is really anti-intuitive and should be fixed. In version 7.0 the export button won't appear unless you select objects, which automatically makes the user assume he is exporting what he is selecting. To export specific objects requires extensive filtering in the search bar which is painful and sometimes impossible to get the selection you want.

Ok, to solve in 7.0, I assign it to xmo.

Fixed in 7.0 as of revision <email address hidden>: an option was added to export only selected records, it is disabled by default to avoid changing existing behavior.
