Typing Open Parenthesis Causes Error

Bug Description

I received the error in the attached backtrace file when doing the following in the attached php file:

Yank the following text at line 1007: jQuery('.unamecheck').bind('blur', checkUname);
Press ENTER
Type the following: alert(

When the open paren is typed the error is triggered.
