Bug Description

installed xubuntu lucid stable, switched from nouveau to nvidia (because of the missing power management in nouveau).

upgraded kernel to version in proposed 2.6.32.22 (previously 2.6.32.21).
upon reboot xserver failed because of a missing nvidia-module.

checked apt to see whether linux-headers-generic was installed, which wasn't the case. only the headers for the 2.6.32.21 kernel, therefore the upgrade didn't create new nvidia modules for the kernel.

fixed it by installing headers for 2.6.32.22 and re-installing nvidia-current (that creates the missing modules).
on the next reboot everything was fine and dandy.

in the package nvidia-current it says that it depends on linux-headers-generic | linux-headers, so i don't have an explanation why the package is missing after installing nvidia-current (initially installed it via jockey-gtk).

I have experienced this twice now for the last two kernel upgrades for kubuntu 11.04
The last upgrade was to kernel "2.6.38-11-generic-pae" August 2011. Surely this
requires some attention.

I just spend a couple of hours because of this bug. Switching the drivers by software-properties-gtk doesn't fail, when the "kernel module is skipped". But on the next reboot, the driver doesn't work proper.

Please make the dependency work.

I'm using Ubuntu 12.10
