Bug Description
I tried a fresh install of Ubuntu 20.04 beta. I enabled nvidia drivers in the installer. When booting after install, the system would go to the purple login screen, but does not do anything when user info has been entered. When I uninstall nvidia-driver it wil boot again normally, auto logging me in. Reinstalling nvidia-drivers cause same issue again on reboot.
After some searching I could boot succesfully with setting 'nomodeset' as extra kernel parameter in grub. It seems to me this is quite a major bug, since it happens with the 20.04 beta and my system is quite up to date.
Please let me know what logs are needed if any.

I found that removing $vt_handoff will make it boot normal, even with "quiet splash".
It seems that grub auto adds that parameter when "quiet splash" is present. So nomodeset is not required when removing vt_handoff. However, a bootscreen is not present and with nomodeset it's less glitchy.
