Bug Description
Hey Dear Nvidia Delevopers,I found perhaps a bug in
Ubuntu 16.04/Mint18.1
That bug make´s me crazy it´s not possible to switch from
intel to your nvidia grafic´s card coz this message i found within
the kernel log

I have a similar issue. Only work around I know is toggling on and off secure boot in my bios.
So you start with "sudo prime-select nvidia", reboot press f2 or whatever your bios requires. Disable secure boot. Boot and your nvidia drivers should work. To switch back to intel do "sudo prime-select intel" reboot and enable the secure boot.
This is absolutely horrible work around but it is all I have found that reliably works.
