Bug Description
My video card is a 7300GT.
After installing the *.run package from nVidia's website, the only thing I see after switching to TTY is a huge blinking cursor, as if the whole thing was immensely zoomed-in. No distro or user name. Typed words do not show up on the screen. I can blindfoldly login and type a command, but executing it causes the whole thing to die out completely (the cursor disappears). Also, commands seem to be ineffective while TTY is in this state. Uninstalling the driver (through a graphical terminal) and rebooting solves the problem.

Experienced almost the same problem after installing Nvidia-current (304.84) on Ubuntu 12.10 32-bit. The 6 TTYs are no longer available.
They still worked correctly when using the previous Nvidia-current (304.64).
