Bug Description

I'm running precise 32 bits fully updated with nvidia-current 295.40-0ubuntu1.1
When I have an http://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/dviextender/ connected to convert my DVI signal to SDI.
Listing modes with xrandr shows a large range of modes but almost all result in on video content.
When I updated to nvidia-settings_304.64-0ubuntu1~precise~xup1_i386 I get the correct listing of the EDID information and video resolutions.
Now I can set the correct option on this.

Also experienced this issue with Philips BDL screens.
