Cannot disable device, please remove from archive

In Ubuntu 18.04, starting the program will display and show all options, but I cannot remove the checkmark from any of the NTFS drives.

ntfs-config is outdated, and replaced by ntfs-3g

@dino99: Not sure what you meant by linking to its homepage? As per its own description, ntfs-config is expressly meant to make ntfs-3g easier to configure. What makes it outdated?

It seems to be the default application Ubuntu 18.04. What is the newer/less outdated alternative?

Also, this bug has a section called "Duplicates of this bug", which lists a number of bugs that has nothing in common with this one, except for the package. That seems wrong.

@dino99: I have been reading a bit around, and maybe I could rephrase what you said based on that for people coming late to the show.

"The use of `ntfs-config` is deprecated as it hasn't received any updates since the time of its Ubuntu Feisty, over a decade ago (2007). The only currently supported way of using and configuring ntfs-3g is through the command line options and the fstab interface. Did that catch the gist of what you meant?
