Bug Description

Flavor name accepts special characters like m.123*^4+5456

Expected Result:
It should throw an error message

Actual Result:
Creating the flavor

Inorder to fix this bug i made changes in nova/compute/instance_types.py.
Do we need to allow "." for flavor name?
