Instance detail display an error after nova evacuate

Bug Description

Environment multi host: with a controller node and a compute node.

Steps to reproduce:

1) Create an empty volume with availability zone nova.
2) Create an instance and attach this volume to the instance (launch the instance) .
3) Execute nova evacuate with this instance.
4) The command was executed successfully.
5) Then you go to instance detail.
6) And see the error (image attached)

Is this always reproducible for you? In the screen cap you included, it looks like a 503 service unavailable is being returned from cinder.

Do you have log excerpts from nova and cinder when this happens that would help in investigating this issue?

The bug is reproducible multiple times.

The cinder api log (screen-c-api.2014-03-26-121440.log) is empty implying cinder api wasn't running. Other than that I don't see any errors (including the one you mention in the bug) in the logs. There still isn't enough information to dig deeper into this issue yet.

9 month old incomplete bug, looks like a configuration error.
