Upload a ide/sparse type image to glance.
Spawn an instance from that image

Sreeram - can you point to when this used to work? I don't see how this image *ever* worked as a sparse type. AFAIK sparse images should be monolythicSparse which means the header includes the info normally found in the descriptor file. This image does not have such a header.

This should work with the branch you have created for us for Havana functional testing.

using the monolithic sparse image you gave me i was able to boot the image. I think the issue is that sparse disks that do not have the descriptor header will not boot. We should probably say that by sparse we mean monolythicSparse files. If you agree we can close this
