This problem is relevant only to the stable folsom release (it has been treated correctly with the uptream G version)

    Fixes bug 1129055

    The patch will set the stp status as 'off' and the bridge
    forwarding delay to 0.

When the values for the STP are not correctly set traffic may not get to and from the VM. This was evident when then VM was sending an DHCP request. The packet did not arrive at the DHCP server => the VM did not receive and IP address.
