vm scheduling failure due to image format

we have integrated openstack(kvm) with vmware vcenter, but when we create vm with image format of qcow2 will cause us a sheduler failure, and we got an error in dashboard, we know it is because vcenter does not support qcow2 format, but what if we schedule the vm (qcow2 image) to kvm resource with a clear prompt of what the program will do. I am sure it will improve user exprierence.

in one word, I think the code needs to be fixed to be like things below:
image format | filtered host

qcow2 ,raw | kvm compute node
vmdk | esxi compute node
