Move items to library when imported [$15]

Bug Description

When I import Music to my library, I don't want to leave a copy behind wherever it was imported from. It would be nice to at least have the option to Move items to the library rather than Copy them.

In the case of importing from an external source, we may want to still Copy and not move.

You've reported many library-related bugs that expose the weaknesses of our current library manager.

I think we should release version 1.0 ASAP and after that make a 1.1 release with focus on making the library management a first class experience (adding a trash, missing songs, etc.). Otherwise we will never see a stable release soon.

I'd also suggest centralizing all those reports in a single blueprint. Of course this is just my opinion. This is something we need to discuss as a team. Thoughts?

This is a feature request, untargetting from beta milestone.

I agree with Victor that the focus right now should be on getting a Stable Noise that does the basics and we can revisit library management next cycle.

Not sure if to make a new bug report or not, but the library feature in noise is severely broken. Importing songs sometimes leaves me seriously confused.

When importing music, sometimes it recognizes and uses the tags in the files, sometimes it doesn't.

When importing music, it seems to duplicate what's already in the library even though the folder I'm importing from doesn't have any of the same songs/files so my library is filled with duplicates even though there aren't actual duplicates in the directories.

When attempting to remove the aforementioned duplicate entries, it's not updated in the library view even after rescanning the Music folder or restarting Noise.

When editing tag data, sometimes it saves and automatically modifies the music directory to match (which is a great feature I enjoyed with itunes), but sometimes it doesn't.

Until these issues are sorted out, I'll use something else.

Maybe a separate radio app like a separate podcast app would be more efficient. For handling radio stations, subscriptions etc.

I think imported music files, should be moved into the music folder if they aren't already there.
The same should be done for photos in the pictures folder when they're imported in pantheon-photos.

Should we have an import dialog similar to what Photos has/used to have (with Import in place, Copy Files, Cancel as options)? Any other ideas on how to decide whether to copy or move imported files?

I am not currently on freya but on arch and installed noise from bzr.

In preferences i see a "Copy imported files to Library" toggle, another way to implement what @evfool. Is this working or is this just a placeholder? Atleast it seems to have gotten some work without being mentioned here.

I toyed a while with the copy imported files functionality and it seems to work alright. This issue should be closed, I think.

This issue is about *moving* files, not copying.
