Bug Description

Hi,

It seems Music/Noise uses /home/user/music as default folder for music files.

Well it may be logical in most cases.

But here I have organized my Music folder in an other way :

- a "library" folder where everything is nicely organized, inside "Music" folder

- and many other "sound" files raw and messy, inside the same "Music" folder.

So I'd like Noise/Music to scan only that "library" folder but over-more to only write in that folder !

For the moment each time I modify metadata info through Noise/Music it uses "Music" folder as destination - instead of "library" folder, so it moves the files from the well organised place to the the messy one…

So next time I open Noise/Music the modified files are missing since it scans "library" but it has moved those modified files in "Music"…

You can change your default music (library) folder in the settings (gear icon -> Preferences)

Ok, my bad expression ;-)

I've already set another folder as source for my music.

Let's say it's /home/me/music/library/

And Music/Noise accordingly displays what's inside that folder.

But.

In Music the dialog box where one enters the location for source folder still shows "Music" what so ever the folder I have formerly set.

There I'd expect it to be "library" (or even better the entire personalized path)

And moreover,

each time I modify a music file through Music (title, artist, album name…) it's then to be found in

/home/me/music/artist/album/

instead of expected

/home/me/music/library/artist/album/

the same if I import music from other places/devices, it's then written into

/home/me/music

instead of expected

/home/me/music/library/

summary: - Set a particular folder as default music folder ?
+ Set a particular folder as default does not work ?

Dconf Editor also shows me only :

/home/me/music

as music folder string instead of expected and previously chosen folder.

But.

If I modify that string into dconf editor then it appears in Noise/Music !!!

So it seems that Noise/Music does not write the path in dconf settings ?
