Bug Description

I tried to get Elementary OS awhile ago, but could not because of some hardware incompatability with the Kernal back when Luna came out, and when i heard you guys had a beta coming out, I tried it and it installed perfectly. Been putting it through it's paces with normal use and I LOVE it. It took me a couple of days, but i finally found an issue. I have a moderately large library of music, which i tried to add all at once, about 45 gigs worth. When i hit import and direct it at that directory, It works for a little bit, but then it hangs. Got to 2750 songs on the nose and then it asked me to force quit it. I waited another 5 minutes with no result. I had to restart the application 3 times before it finally went ahead and imported the rest of it. Could it possibly have something to do with the fact that the library exists on an NTFS partition? I do this because it must share with a windows installation as well.

I don't think the problem is relative to ntfs since I have the same difficulty to import my library which is about 5000 files, all stored on an ext4 drive.

Same issue. I have about 6645 files taking up 50+ GB. The import would initially crash at some round number like 400, 600, 1000. I had to keep restarting it.

I have no idea what fixed it, but it works fine now.

Even then, the process is *really* slow. It starts at about 10 to 15 songs per second and slows down to a 1 song per 2 seconds crawl.
