Bug Description
Currently Last.fm scrobbling is built into Music. However, it's tucked away in the preferences and really doesn't seem to be a primary use case. It should be implemented as an optional plugin and not installed by default.

If I remember correctly, there was some kind of useful data that Noise gets from last.fm regardless of whether you have an account. Corentin or Victor probably know more about this.
