id3 tagging extremely unstable

Bug Description
Certain fields show as blank (commonly album artist which messes up the album). It also will randomly disregard album art which is embedded.
It is completely random in its blank tags, on one import it will be a certain set of songs, on another it will be a different set.
I have tested it with both mp3 and aac files, id3 v2.3, id3 v2.4 and id3 v1.
I have reinstalled, downgraded, reloaded my library, deleted the database, and edited the id3 tags in Noise to no avail.
