Bug Description
I am running Linux Mint:olivia using kernel 3.8.0-31 based on Ubuntu's Raring build.
noise version 0.2.4+r1532-
this applies to both ubuntu's and cinnamon's sound applet.
The sound applet will not reflect the current track playing but the controls (play/pause/
If the gdm (cinnamon/gnome etc.) is restarted, the info is correct but fails to change when the track is over. It will advance the time for as long as noise is opened or until the gdm is restarted.
eg: the time after the first track will be 4:25/2:23
As far as I can see, this is a dbus issue, perhaps with noise not declaring a unique name?
an example of a correctly working media player for this would be VLC with dbus interface enabled in interface settings
