Window contents disappear when displaying search results

Bug Description

Though this primarily happens when Noise is displaying search results, it occasionally happens at random when the Noise window loses focus or is resized. As far as I can tell, this only affects album view.

Attached is the output I get from the terminal when I enter a search term, resize the window, clear the search term, and enter it again.

I fiddled around some more. Attached is the output I get from the terminal after performing a search and clearing it (causing the contents to disappear after a few moments).

After setting up Geary with a few of my email accounts, I experienced the very same problem with the client's message list and main content window, though it seems to happen entirely at random with absolutely no rhyme or reason. Whatever component is causing this must be shared between the two programs.

Interestingly, after updating Geary to 0.4.2 via Tom Beckmann's backport PPA (http://blog.yorba.org/jim/2013/12/geary-0-4-2-backport-for-precise-12-04-luna-now-available.html), the problem has vanished entirely in Geary.

If anyone is having trouble reproducing this bug, search for a song in album view, play that song, than fast forward a bit using the slider at the top center.
