’Clear button‘ does not update the search results

Bug Description
If you write a query in the box and clicked ’Clear button‘ (x), the results are updated. But if you restart the application (after writing) and click on it, then the results will not be updated

This will also occur if the text is removed all at once, e.g. selecting the text and pressing the delete key.
