Bug Description

I'm feeling formal, so here are the steps to reproduce:

Open pantheon-files
go to grid view
use ctrl + 2 to go to list view
open noise
go to grid view
try to use ctrl + 2 to go to list view
key combination fails

I filed this in Granite because I think that Granite should automagically assign these key combos to different views.

The keyboard shortcuts document doesn't seem to have an established keybinding for this: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1jUtWkfqlwDydaO-B67F9PsOhE66AZ2y5N_uDRW9pOuQ/edit

So we should probably come up with one and then propagate it to the apps.

I think ctrl + number is pretty standard isn't it?

Victor recommends this code live inside the app and not in Granite. Marking as "Invalid" for Granite.

Hey Corentin, as in the comments using ctrl + n seems to be pretty standard even across non-elementary apps.

My Million Dollars on the subject:

Alt+N to change tabs is pretty stantard on GNU/Linux environments. Firefox and all GNOME applications support it instead of Ctrl+N like on Windows. Google Chrome supports both.

Ctrl+N to change views on Noise and Slingshot? Sure thing, no problem, I accepted the code. On Files we should have Alt+N to change tab and Ctrl+N to change view then.

David: In Files, Alt+N and Ctrl+N already changes tabs and view modes respectively as you describe.
