Bug Description

I installed the Nikki alpha on my Mac Laptop (Snow Leopard 10.6.7).

I can navigate the menus just fine, but when attempting to move on the first level I run into two issues:

1.) The default control scheme conflicts with the use of "Spaces", which is configured to use control and the arrow keys. =/

2.) Even with those control keys disabled, I am unable to move left or right by pressing the arrow keys, though it some times work when I have control pressed that an arrow key will somehow be read, but it is very strange and inconsistent.

Answer to 1.)

Probably we have to make the keyboard controls configurable. I added a feature request for that: #755568.

In the meantime: Could you (or another Mac user) suggest a better keyboard configuration, that wouldn't conflict with anything? To fix the problem temporarilly?

Thanks for reporting!

I think the current bindings are fine...for exactly this reason in other games, I changed my spaces bindings to be Control+option and the arrow keys.

Even with this binding for Spaces (the non-conflicting binding), I'm also having the difficulty with moving left and right. Every now and then, it works, but mostly the keystrokes are ignored. Also running 10.6.7 on a Mac Laptop.

Version 0.2.21 is available and should fix the problem with the arrow keys. If not, please re-open this bug.
