man can't find new manpages

it's very strange, but if i install any pack, for example zip:

$ man zip
No manual entry for zip
See 'man 7 undocumented' for help when manual pages are not available.
$ dpkg -L zip|egrep '/usr/share/man/.*gz$'|while read file; do mandb -f "$file"; done
$ man zip
Reformatting zip(1), please wait...

i'll try to investigate this, i'm using latest cp unstable but this apply to any version

Note: the original reporter indicated the bug was in package 'man-db'; however, that package was not published in Nexenta Operating System.

I made a few patches and installing package "zip" and then running "man zip" yields a manpage.
