No screensaver if xinerama is enabled with i810 driver

I enabled xinerama support and I'm noticing that gnome-screensaver doesn't start automatically therefore I'm unable to lock the desktop session unless I execute gnome-screensaver by myself.

If I disable xinerama, gnome-screensaver is launched during session login.

are you using nvidia as the X driver? If yes, check if this is a duplicate:

I cannot confirm this on dapper with xinerama enabled on i810.

I also can not confirm as it stands with:

00:02.1 Display controller: Intel Corporation Mobile 945GM/GMS/940GML Express Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 03)

and i810 Xorg.

Please provide more info.
