Bug Description

We are using ovs-dpdk in a compute-node without checksum offload, and VM can't get metadata when http response has incorrect checksum. Hence we filled checksum by iptables before the tcp packet leaving dhcp netns. Similar bug for IPV4 (https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/1244589)is raised and fixed as part of commit:

Hello Tianhao:

I'm not understanding the issue here. Since [1] the DHCP namespace fills the checksum of the DHCP replies. The packet coming from the dnsmasq process and going into OVS should have the checksum correctly calculated. What is failing in your deployment?
