IPv6 prefix delegation for OVN routers

OVN routers have an option to send PD requests to the upstream router. We can adapt the feature in Neutron.

Hi,

Is that only related to closing parity gap between ML2/OVS and OVN backends? Will there be any new API or something like that or just new backend implementation?
If the latter, I don't think we need to discuss that as RFE.

I don't think there will be any new API changes, it is solely to close the gap with ml2/ovs.

Could you please elaborate what functionality is currently missing when using OVN?

Is this RFE about requesting a prefix via PD from an external entity via the external network and not by slicing a /64 from a subnet pool (https://docs.openstack.org/neutron/latest/admin/config-subnet-pools.html#demo)? I suppose the latter works with OVN as Neutron does manage the address / prefix management there, right?

This is about requesting a prefix via PD from an external entity, not subnet pools. Neutron would need to be changed to program the PD code in OVN, etc, but without someone to drive that work we decided to close this RFE.
