True, but I need some more info. What version of neutron, how many agents, specific use cases that cause the high load?

We are running Liberty and have 1000 agents using ML2 with linuxbridge and midonet mech drivers.

1000 agents isn't a major problem usually but certain things like https://bugs.launchpad.net/neutron/+bug/1576425 can cause issues. I'm sure larger installations will see more pain.

With nova now having cells as default maybe Neutron can look into how it interacts to cells. Is there any plan in Neutron on how to scale?
