I think the reporter realized the nova commit http:// git.openstack. org/cgit/ openstack/ nova/commit/ ?id=a8a5d44c8ac a218f00649232c2 b8a46aee59b77e pretty much broke all plugins which did not set VNIC_TYPE.
Is there any reason for *requiring* neutron sets VNIC_TYPE? Can't nova just default to VNIC_NORMAL if not specified?
