Bug Description

** (nm-applet:1262): WARNING **: <WARNING> nma_dbus_device_properties_cb (): dbus returned an error.
(org.freedesktop.DBus.Error.LimitsExceeded) The maximum number of pending replies per connection has been reached

network-manager version 0.6.2 running on Dapper.
Connected using 802.11g, WPA, atheros card

When the above error occurs in a terminal, the nm-applet can no longer show any available wireless networks, and it disconnects from the WPA using AP and connects to an open AP instead.

Removing the nm-applet and restarting it fixes it for a while.

Also mentioned and reliably reproduced:

https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=153536

Which was referenced by upstream at:

http://mail.gnome.org/archives/networkmanager-list/2006-March/msg00053.html

Nothing has been fixed yet... seems obscure. I hope one of those links helps!

Changed in network-manager:
status: Unconfirmed → Confirmed

I am looking through the Novell bug report 153536 (NetworkManager fails dhcp with ndiswrapper and wep), and don't see the connection to this error I am getting. I see this same error message in the mail thread, but it seems to be a side issue.

Alan the comment was about the upstream bug -- look in the bug watches portlet to the right.
