Bug Description
Binary package hint: network-manager
I'm testing Ubuntu Janty with NM 0.7.0.99 (0.7.1-RC3).
The connection for my usb 3G/HSDPA modem sometimes doesn't work.
I select the connection through nm-applet and it seems to start connecting but
after few seconds I get the message that the network is disconnected.
I use the same configuration as in Intrepid w/ NM-0.7 where the connection
works flawlessy every time I use it.
I've tried to restart NM with /etc/init.
unplug/replug the modem's usb cable and sometimes the
connection works fine.
I've seen that the modem works fine if I shutdown the machine and than boot up again.
Other information:
I have an Option Icon 1.8mb/s modem :
Bus 002 Device 002: ID 0af0:6600 Option GlobeTrotter 3G+ datacard
In jaunty I have installed udev-extras to manage the switch from usb-storage to usbserial.
