Bug Description
Hi Netplan team,
I would like to make a feature request/bug report. From my understanding netplan does not currently support DHCP unique identifiers (DUIDs) with NetworkManager as a renderer.
The new feature would allow DUIDs to be configured using netplan configuration files and have the backend renderer be NetworkManager.
The use case this solves is to easily allow Ubuntu desktops/laptops to access NFS by tracking IPv6 addresses.
Please let me know if I can clarify anything or provide more information.
Thanks for your consideration and time.

Right, looks like this is currently only supported on the networkd backend. Could you please provide links to the corresponding NetworkManager keyfile settings, or maybe even come up with a pull request at https:/ /github. com/canonical/ netplan
