Bug Description

Hi,

With iproute2, one can add interfaces to an interface group as follows :
ip link set eth0 group foo

where "foo" is defined in /etc/iproute2/group.
(it's also possible to use a number directly)

Could we please get this feature into netplan ?
systemd-networkd already supports it :
https://www.freedesktop.org/software/systemd/man/systemd.network.html#Group=

Thanks

Do we know if the systemd group feature actually uses the same mechanism
as iproute2?

I couldn't find any mention of a similar feature in the NM
documentation.

Given the description, I'm 99.99% sure it's the same mechanism. This is a "datacenter" feature that is probably not very helpful on people's laptop/desktop computers, probably why it's not in NM.
