Bug Description
Scenario:
Host with Ubuntu 16.04 and DHCP reservation based on the MAC address.
A release update to Ubuntu 18.04 is performed and afterwords the system won't be reachable on it's expected IP address.
The new client-identifier cannot be predicted and so the reservervation cannot be updated in advance.
You have to check the dhcp leases for the new id and then change the original reservation. Or you have to make the new lease a reservation and delete the old one and you also have to update the DNS records... Seems like crude workarounds to me.
How is this intended to be used?
