I try 5.75.32 drivers. 87th-u1004-55689 at 10.10 Ubuntu 64 bit restarting does not start in mode text seems the drivers are 32-bit therefore are not compatible with U 1010 according with what I saw in the log:

dlopen: /usr/lib/xorg/modules/drivers/via_drv.so: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32

I believe that in the page drivers should indicate that they are 32-bit and do not work in 64-bit good starts in safe graphics mode I install drivers via-xserver-87th-55727_src without uninstalling the previous problem that gave by is 32-bit well after restart if loaded via drivers but does not display image in the internal monitor that sample is a black screen with some lines as static on the external monitor when image is displayed when you try to add the lines:

        Option "ForcePanel"
        Option "PanelSize" "1280×800"

evice and restart starts in text mode log shows the following:

loading drivers via these load without adding single lines in debug mode otherwise presents the effect similar to the white screen Option "ForcePanel" Option "PanelSize" "1280×800"

run without xorg.conf screen displays a few strange of static on a television monitor is 1280 x 800 resolution to connect an external monitor if normal image stripes

How reproducible:

the problem occurs after you install the latest version Unified GFX driver see 87th-55689 for Ubuntu 10.04 (29 Sep 10) I can do that image in the internal monitor (only white screen 9 but works normal with one external.)

as I can't image modify the xor of the current

I have not tried to install the proprietary drivers in fedora yet but I tried to start with fedora 14 from a flash drive and is this the same bug in ubuntu 10.04.2 This is easy to solve only need to install the drivers 1:0.2.904 + svn916 openchrome -1build1.

The effect I got when trying to start fedora 14 was the same as in strange lines like ubuntu a TV with Static another possible solution is to add the lines:

         Option "ForcePanel"
         Option "PanelSize" "1280 × 800"

to xorg, prune anyway start with vesa drivers with the options:

This message is a notice that Fedora 14 is now at end of life. Fedora
has stopped maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 14. It is
Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no
longer maintained. At this time, all open bugs with a Fedora 'version'
of '14' have been closed as WONTFIX.

(Please note: Our normal process is to give advanced warning of this
occurring, but we forgot to do that. A thousand apologies.)

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, feel free to reopen
this bug and simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version.

Bug Reporter: Thank you for reporting this issue and we are sorry that
we were unable to fix it before Fedora 14 reached end of life. If you

Although we aim to fix as many bugs as possible during every release's

more recent Fedora release includes newer upstream software that fixes
bugs or makes them obsolete.

The process we are following is described here:
