Bug Description
Installed Ubuntu Netbook remix on a new Acer Aspire One AO532H-2588. (It's a fairly new model, as well as a new machine.)
Recently updated to kernel 2.6.31-19. Original kernel was 2.6.31-14. The new (-19) kernel caused a variety of problems; terminal and network would lock up after a few minutes, clicking on the network manager icon would lock up the whole thing. The -14 kernel seems to be much better behaved: it was fine when first installed and is fine booted into now.
Didn't notice any non-stability problems with the new kernel.
Have not installed jaunty modules backport package.

On my new Compaq mini 110C Intel Atom N270 I have the same difficulty with the new updated kernel. Kernel 2.6.31-14 worked fine 2.6.31-19 generated error messages and stopped on $ prompt. Tried to startup from grub with kernel ...-19 in recovery mode but that did not help.
