Bug Description

UNR minimizes old windows when a new one openes and maximizes the new one. It makes sense when there is only the small netbook display available. However, if there is a second display attached and there are windows on the second display it does not make sense to minimize them when a new window is opened on the first display.

Today UNR is really designed around the use on a netbook. If you have a 2nd display today the most popular use would be to mirror the screen from the netbook screen. Though what you are describing is more of a new feature, and trying to use UNR more like a standard desktop.

It would be best to take this idea here -> http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/

There is definitely some truth in what you say. On the other hand mirroring is not quite usable due to the low resolution which does not make sense on big displays.
