Bug Description

Hi, I'm new in Linux, and so in ubuntu and the netbookremix.

After an update this week my netbook sound is gone. But before it DID work.
I have a Compaq mini 1010EZ, which is not the same as other netbooks of the same brand I found in the forums. I've tried some solutions for similar computers but it did'n help.
Running Sysinfo I get this information about the soundcard:

 " Multimedia controller
Intel Corporation 82801G (ICH7 Family) High Definition Audio Controller (rev 02)
 Subsystem: Hewlett-Packard Company Device 308f "

Sometimes the volume/audio configuration tool recognizes only audio input, sometimes recognizes input and output but it doesn't work, and less often my netbook sounds after changing just any configuration and closing the tool.
Restarting the system a few times solved this.
I'm clueless and I don't know what can be causing this problem... some package? some program?
