No menus after removing OpenOffice

Bug Description

In attempt to reduce the size of my installation, I follow the instruction on removing the openoffice from ubuntu through the Add/Remove menu. But after removing the Desktop is left with background wallpaper, all my applications/place... menu have gone! except for the right click menu.

Hmm, were you running in netbook mode (with the launcher) or classic mode (normal Ubuntu panel and desktop)? Can you please give the output of

apt-cache policy netbook-launcher

and

apt-cache policy ubuntu-netbook-remix

Unfortunately I couldn't wait for a solution, I reinstall the system to fix
it. I was running in the Classic UI when removing the OO.

Sorry to here that :-/. If you come across this bug again, please update here and I'll try and figure out what caused it (feels like a package screw-up).

Looks like ubunut-netbook-remix depends on openoffice evolution and whole bunch of things that it has nothing to do with the remix. That is the problem you are having. looks like there is no way to trim down a netbook-remix of ubuntu while still maintaining the remix interface.
