Bug Description

Build Version/Date: jaunty-netbook-remix-i386.img 15-Mar-2009
Environment used for testing: Generic netbook with 1024x576 built-in LCD

Summary: font-rendering-details window does not fit completely in monitors with 576 px vertical resolution

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Preferences->Appearance->Font->Details: Font Rendering Details window

Expected result:
1. the entire window can display properly

Actual result:
1. the window border on the bottom is hidden from the screen (see the attached screen shot)

the screenshot seems to indicate you are not aligned with the top bar, does it if you move it slightly?

Sebastien, it is still slightly off by a couple of pixels as the lower window border can't been seen. Admittedly, this case is mostly cosmetic as no functionality is marred by it.

Confirming in Jaunty (desktop-edition) with a screen resolution of 800*600.

This was fixed in Ubuntu 11.04 and later, in a rather blunt way, by removing the "Font Rendering Details" window altogether. Anti-aliasing settings are now in the "Fonts" panel of "Advanced Settings", which -- at the default font size -- is only 480 pixels high.
